The following list highlights examples of current volunteer opportunities (updated October 2007) in some of our schools.  If you would like to find out more about a specific opportunity, you can call or e-mail the contact provided in the listing.  Please note that some of the information may have changed since these items were originally posted and that other schools have similar and additional needs, though they are not listed here.

Four Seasons A+ Elementary needs volunteers to meet with the same student once a week during lunch time (for 30 minutes), to read to the student and let them read to you.

The available times and corresponding grade levels are:
10:50 - 11:20 (First Grade)
10:55 - 11:25 (Second Grade)
11:00 - 11:30 (Third Grade)
11:20 - 11:50 (Kindergarten)
11:25 - 11:55 (Fourth Grade)
11:30 - 12:00 (Third Grade)
11:55 - 12:25 (Fifth Grade)
12:00 - 12:30 (Fifth/Sixth and Sixth Grades)

No special skills necessary, just enthusiasm for reading!

Nokomis Montessori: The Reading Buddies Program is a lunchtime program designed to help improve the literacy skills of students.  The student meets with their mentor once a week, for 30 minutes.
The mentor can choose to help out at the following times.
11:30am-12:00pm: grades 1-3
12:00pm-12:30pm: grades 1-3   
12:30pm-1:00pm: grades 4-6
